J. Nolan and Reese Jones have officially announced that the wait is over. This artist/producer combo has released an EP entitled, The Humble Legends.

Artist J. Nolan has been working with producer Reese Jones for over a year to perfect this masterpiece. They are recognized by many people as the Manifest Movement and have been compared to many great artists in the hip hop industry including Lupe Fiasco, Nas and Talib Kweli.

This EP is a project that is leading into their full length LP, Keep it Cordial, which is scheduled to release this year.

In the documentary “The Better DJ,” filmed and directed by James D. Williams, we see the true artistry of Denzel Thomas–who we know in the music industry as DJ Blak Boy. 

“I want to be one of those guys that people, you know, admire for what I can do technically, what I can do business wise, the relationships I have with artists,” DJ Blak Boy says as he reveals the DJ he wants to be. 

He has been working as a DJ for almost three years, and has demanded attention and respect within the industry by mixing at clubs, parties and numerous events. 

“The Better DJ” features appearances from Will Hill and Rolls Royce Rizzy.

While attending this year’s SXSW Music Festival last month in Texas, notable hip-hop source HipHopSince1987 took the opportunity to get a few freestyles from some of the hottest artists in the industry today. Atlanta’s own Sy Ari Da Kid was one of the artists to spit bars for them.

Two artists, two brothers, one group, ILLClinton is here to steal the show. In an interview with the reputable producer DJ Prince Paul right before their Scion Open Mic in Brooklyn, NY they spoke of their previous and current musical endeavors. This event gave way to the Atlanta duo’s second show ever, headlining with artists such as IAMSU, Problem, Sage the Gemini, and GRAMZ.

The interview was filmed this past October, and the group speaks of their debut release, The ILL Experiment EP, which released via Scion last fall. ILLClinton‘s new full length sophomore project, ILLANTA II, released last month.

This event was the duo’s first trip to the “Empire City,” and left their audience asking for more when the show came to an end.

International hip-hop artist Prohaize, in conjunction with CAD Management, has received an immeasurable amount of recognition due to the support they have gained during the inspirational Dreams Do Come True Campaign (DDCTC).

Since the March 24th concert, contributions have tripled and DDCTC reached a milestone of over $1,000 from their supporters.

In order to celebrate this achievement Prohaize will release “The Walk,” a single from his first full-length project, African Born American Raised.

Prohaize is truly grateful to those who have supported the campaign thus far, and looks to continue to promote the growth of the campaign. However, he looks to expand the campaign to a more global scale, and reach the ultimate goal of $10,000 raised for the DDCTC.

Contributing to the $10,000 goal of DDCTC, helps equip Prohaize with the tools he needs to embark on his ten-city tour in late fall to share African Born, American Raised. Atlanta-based photographer Jack Stillz has created an image compilation for music lovers across the city. The collection, titled Free Lunch, No Peanut Butter, captures various artists and up-and-coming icons, plus more. Young Thug, Rome Fortune and Miloh Smith are listed as just a few of the artists photographed. Stillz cites the visual set as “the blueprint to Atlanta’s music.”

He has managed to give aesthetic art through the lens of a camera – with stunning black and whites and defined color images, Free Lunch, No Peanut Butter is nothing short of a book full of flawlessness.

You may find this San Diego native in a Morehouse College classroom working to further his education, but Amon has also been making moves to further his music career.

The artist released his first official mixtape last year, and now he is offering his visual for one of the records, called “Don’t Stop,” from the project.

“Don’t Stop” consists of an interesting production by BMG Beats who remixes Rihanna’s “Stay” single with an upbeat twist, while Amon delivers a speedy flow.
