[Have You Heard] Zip K – ‘LIF+ED2’

Zip K never fails to deliver. First “Chevy Hump,” then “Hold It.” Now, the rapper has released yet another lyrically-strong track entitled “LIF+ED2.” 

He opens the song with the lines, “Walking with demons, fly as an angel. From Atlanta where the banner ain’t star spangled.” Immediately these words encourage you to think about all the social injustices that take place all over the South.

This song is more than just a catchy little tune, this song is addressing actual issues. Zip K also displays his strong faith with the repeated line, “Long as I got God, I got plenty.”

There are so many different angles of life examined by Zip K. His music is definitely always pushing new limits!

[Project] T-Bruin X Ron Shaw – ‘VI’

NYC rapper (by way of Atlanta) rapper T-Bruin gives us new music and flows with his collaborative EP with super producer Ron Shaw, entitled, VI. 

The new project features six new tracks, with feature collaborations from Ngan, GVVAAN NURAS, and pacmanADV. The collaborators brilliantly bring their own flare to the creations of T-Bruin and Ron Shaw. 

T-Bruin and Ron Shaw come together perfectly in this EP. The rapper’s flow and knack for substantial content in his lyrics paired with the producer’s raw and unique beats create a beautiful product. 

VI is said to be followed up with a live band-based project. Ron Shaw recently released his Land of ADV project.

[Project] Loudset – ‘L$488: The Mixtape’

A new and growing rap collective, by the name of Loudset, is working to make a solid name for themselves in Atlanta. The collective makes their first major effort to do so with their debut project, L$488: The Mixtape.

Loudset, consisting of rappers Hardwurk, L$ Twan, L$ Sosa, Kamokazi, teamed up with DJ Big Tiny, who serves as the mixtape’s host.

The 19-track mixtape features collaborations from Rocko and London Jae, and production from Zaytoven, 808 Mafia, Beat Pluggs Two, and other talented producers. 

With L$488: The Mixtape, we have the chance to not only get acquainted with Loudset as a collective, but also as individual artists with their own flare and signature flows. 

The collective sold 3,000 copies of the mixtape before dropping it on LiveMixtapes!

After releasing his SLEEP EP last month, rapper Lonny X continues to show his propitious nature and talent with his new single release, “Tokyo 7.”

He took us on a nostalgic journey with SLEEP. With this new record, we see that fortunately the journey is nowhere near its conclusion.
